Master Your Left Hand
Combine A, S, D, F with Q, W, E, R in a focused left-hand exercise. This is a selected set of home-row and top-row keys, not the whole left side of the keyboard.
Practice keys: Q, W, E, R, A, S, D, F. This lesson is complete once you hit the accuracy target shown below.
This drill combines the characters assigned to one hand on a standard QWERTY keyboard. Watch the transition between fingers and return to your starting position when a reach takes you away from it. The page measures character entries; it cannot observe hand position or verify your technique.
Practice focus
Connect left-hand home-row and upward reaches.
- Start with asdf and the return groups frf, ded, sws, aqa.
- Use the words to connect reaches: read, safe, and wafer contain different transitions even though they use the same small key set.
Review your attempt
If an isolated key is clean but a word fails, repeat the two letters around the first error, then restore the whole word.
