Privacy Policy

KeysInFlow ("we," "us," or "the site") is a free typing platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Your practice progress stays on your device, while loading pages and any advertisements involves the third-party services described below.

What we collect

KeysInFlow has no user accounts, no sign-up form, and no login. Practice does not require your name or email address. If you contact us by email, we receive the address and information you choose to send. There is no account database or server-side practice history.

Your saved typing test scores, streaks, lesson progress, and game high scores use your browser’s local storage. The practice features do not upload this saved history to a KeysInFlow server. Storage may be unavailable in some browser settings; you can still practice, but progress may not be retained.

Local storage and your control over it

Local storage works like a small notebook your browser keeps for this site alone. It persists across visits so your progress carries over, but it is entirely under your control. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings (usually under "Clear browsing data" or "Site settings"), and doing so permanently deletes your KeysInFlow history with no effect on our end, since we never had a copy.

Advertising is currently disabled. These pages do not load the AdSense advertising script or Impact tracking. Site hosting still processes the connection information needed to deliver pages, and practice progress remains in your browser.

Cookies

Practice progress uses local storage. Advertising and affiliate-measurement providers may use cookies or similar technologies for delivery, attribution, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalization, subject to applicable consent choices. Local progress storage and third-party measurement data serve different purposes.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties to run the site:

• Hosting. The site is served as static files through a content delivery network. Your browser communicates with the hosting provider to load pages, which exposes connection information such as your IP address and browser request details.
• Google AdSense. We may show ads served by Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running KeysInFlow for free. AdSense can set its own cookies and use device information to personalize ads, in line with Google's own advertising policies. You can review and adjust your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com, and read Google's practices at their "How Google uses information from sites that use our services" page.
• Impact. Impact tracking is currently disabled on this site. If reintroduced, it will require a separate review of consent controls before collecting impressions or referrals. Impact technology can transform eligible links and measure impressions and referrals. Impact may process browser, device, IP-address, page-activity, ad-interaction, and referral information to provide attribution, analytics, and fraud-prevention services. Impact states that it does not receive a visitor's name, street address, or payment-card information through this tracking. Read the Impact Privacy Policy for details.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell your locally saved practice history. Advertising and affiliate-measurement services may process information about referrals, ad interactions, and your device as described above.

Children's privacy

KeysInFlow does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Practice does not require children to submit a name or email address. The hosting and advertising services described above may process connection or device information. Please contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information to us.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, for example if we add a new feature that involves data collection, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. We'd encourage checking back occasionally, though given how the site works today, we don't expect frequent changes.
