Academic Vocabulary Typing Practice

Part of the Academic & Writing track.

Core academic terms: methodology, argument, and citation vocabulary drawn from real scholarly writing.

Type the drill below at a pace where you can stay accurate. Reaching the lesson target shown below marks this lesson complete and shows a link to the next lesson in the track.

This is lesson 1 of 3 in the Academic & Writing track. Your attempts, best WPM, and completion status are saved in this browser when local storage is available.

Practice focus

Read academic terms through their suffixes.

  1. Check long words before starting and divide them mentally into visible sections.
  2. Keep the original word order and spelling instead of substituting a synonym.

Review your attempt

If only a long ending causes mistakes, practice that ending in several words before returning to the full list.
