Typing Race
Race against yourself, sort of. Instead of racing another live person, you race a "ghost," a steady typist moving at a fixed pace that represents the difficulty you choose. Easy moves at around 40 words per minute, medium at 60, and hard at 85. These are game difficulty settings, not population benchmarks.
The race starts the moment you type your first character and ends the instant either you or the ghost finishes the passage. Watch both progress bars as you type: if the ghost's bar is pulling ahead, that's real-time feedback that you need to pick up the pace without sacrificing accuracy, since mistakes still count against you here just like anywhere else.
Choose a pace that challenges you without forcing constant corrections. Keep your attention on the passage rather than the moving racers, especially near punctuation. If the opponent pulls ahead, maintain a controlled rhythm until the race ends. Use the result to choose your next target instead of treating every loss as a reason to accelerate.

Use a timed typing test to check your WPM separately from game points. If the same keys cause mistakes, try weak-key practice, or return to all typing games to choose a different challenge.
