7. Sentences

Bring letters, capitals, spaces, numbers, and punctuation together in complete sentences. Read ahead to the next word without skipping the small details in the current one.

Practice keys: A-Z, 0-9, punctuation. Type the drill below at a pace where you can stay accurate. Reaching the lesson target shown below marks this lesson complete. The next-lesson link then appears; lessons can also be opened from the course list.

This is lesson 7 of 7 in the beginner course. If a key trips you up repeatedly, it's worth pausing here rather than pushing through to the next lesson, since each stage assumes real comfort with everything before it.

How to practice sentences

Copy a short everyday message with its details intact.

  1. Read the whole message once. Identify the room number, time, date, and quoted question before starting.
  2. Copy the capitals and punctuation as displayed. Use one space between words and after each sentence.
  3. Review errors in the small details, particularly 205 and the date. These matter even when the rest of the message is fast.

Review your attempt

Repeat any missed detail accurately, then try unfamiliar text in Custom Practice to check whether the skill transfers.

Continue to intermediate lessons for longer passages, or practice your own short message. The completion badge is a software milestone; use your errors and comfort with the movement to decide what to repeat.

Please send the draft by 3 today. We need 12 copies for room 205. "Is this the final version?" Sam asked. Yes, but check the date - 17 October 2026. Save your work, then take a short break.
