Custom Practice
Generic practice text is useful for building general speed, but it doesn't always match what you actually type day to day. If you write a lot of code, practicing on prose won't build the muscle memory for brackets, semicolons, and camelCase variable names. If you type in a specific domain, whether that's legal documents, medical notes, customer support replies, or a foreign language, practicing on that exact kind of text builds skill that transfers directly to your real work.
Custom practice solves this by letting you supply your own material. Paste in a paragraph from an article you're reading, a function from your own codebase, an email template you send often, or study notes you need to review anyway. You get the same live WPM and accuracy tracking as KeysInFlow's other tools, applied to text that's actually relevant to you.
Paste or type your text into the box below, then click Start Practice. Your text needs to be at least 10 characters so there's enough to type, and no more than 10,000 characters so a single session stays focused. Nothing you paste here is uploaded anywhere: the text stays in your browser for the length of your session and is discarded when you leave the page.
