Proper names, sentence starts, and titles all need Shift. This lesson builds the reflex of tapping Shift with your pinky while the other hand types the letter.

The most common capitalization mistake isn't hitting the wrong key, it's timing: pressing Shift a moment too late so the letter registers lowercase first. Practice pressing Shift with your pinky slightly before the letter finger moves, not at the same instant.
