Learn to type the right way, one key at a time. Each lesson below teaches proper finger placement and technique for a single home-row key, building the muscle memory that makes fast, accurate typing possible later. Work through them from A to Enter, or jump to whichever finger needs the most work.
A Key
Not startedThe A key sits on the home row under your left pinky. Anchor your pinky here and return to it after every reach.
S Key
Not startedThe S key sits on the home row under your left ring finger, one position to the right of A.
D Key
Not startedThe D key sits on the home row under your left middle finger, right next to S.
F Key
Not startedThe F key sits on the home row under your left index finger. It usually has a small raised bump so you can find it without looking.
J Key
Not startedThe J key sits on the home row under your right index finger. Like F, it usually has a raised bump for orientation.
K Key
Not startedThe K key sits on the home row under your right middle finger, right next to J.
L Key
Not startedThe L key sits on the home row under your right ring finger.

Spacebar
Not startedThe spacebar is struck with either thumb, whichever is more natural for you. This lesson mixes it with the home row keys you've already learned.
Enter Key
