The home row is where your fingers rest between keystrokes: A, S, D, F for your left hand and J, K, L, semicolon for your right, with both thumbs on the spacebar.

This is the foundation every other lesson in this course builds on. Rushing through it just means every later lesson gets harder than it needs to be, since you'll be compensating for placement you never quite locked in.
