Typing Race

Race against yourself, sort of. Instead of racing another live person, you race a "ghost," a steady typist moving at a fixed pace that represents the difficulty you choose. Easy moves at around 40 words per minute, medium at 60, and hard at 85, which is faster than most people ever type without years of practice.

The race starts the moment you type your first character and ends the instant either you or the ghost finishes the passage. Watch both progress bars as you type: if the ghost's bar is pulling ahead, that's real-time feedback that you need to pick up the pace without sacrificing accuracy, since mistakes still count against you here just like anywhere else.
